This is a th 8 and th 9 attack. Both are similar but the addition of the defensive queen when attacking a th 9 makes it different and more difficult.
TH 8
As with any hog attack at th 8, I would not recommend using this till you have at least level 3 hogs. Level 4 are preferred. Golem's don't need to be anything special for this attack. Even level 1's work fine. You will need to get two witches in your clan castle from someone in the clan. The point of the golem is to trigger giant bombs. If you can identify a double giant bomb and get to it, even better. Giant bombs are the nemisis of hogs but just tickle a golem. Use the toughness of the golem to protect the hogs.
Unlike many of the attacks I have posted here, I have actually used this attack. The mix I use is close to this:
1 golem, 23-25 hogs, 8-9 wiz, 5-8 wall breakers, 2 archers, 2 barbs, witches and an archer in your CC, 3 heals
It is key to get a full lure. I recommend using 4 hogs to make sure you get it. Try to destroy a defensive tower that looks like I may be near a bomb. Even if you find out its a tesla, it makes your life easier. If the enemy cc is exposed and you can do it with a giant, even better. But, make sure you get them all. Once they are out, anchor to a corner. Pick the corner/side that you are going to send your golem from. If nothing to anchor to, no worries.
With this attack, it is actually better to drop your cc kill troops before the defensive cc troops get on top of your anchor. Just drop your two barbarians. These barbarians are key. If you drop the witches first the defensive troops will lock onto the witches rather than the skeletons and they will likely die. The skeletons will stack the defensive troops up and you can drop a wizard or two to clean it up.
When cc is dead drop the golem. When the defensive structures lock onto it strategically drop wall breakers to blast them in. Use a few wizards to create a funnel. Destroy garbage buildings along the side you are attacking. when those buildings are down, drop your king. Save a few wiz though. Wiz are great clean up troops and you may need them to clean up left over garbage buildings at the end.
Wait till the golem triggers the bombs or at least crosses the space that you thought bombs might be. At that point, its hoggin time! With hogs, you generally have a pretty good idea where your hogs are going to go and where you are going to drop your heals BEFORE you attack. If you don't, you will likely drop heals at the wrong time. The great part of this attack is the golem/witches/wiz/king can probably destroy at least a quarter of the base. This will make it so that you have 3/4 of the base and 3 heals. Convenient! Your hogs will likely path around the edge of the base in a U around the quarter being hit by your kill squad. If done right, your hogs can be standing in a heal for most of their ride around the base.
