Thought I would spell my thinking out better on this rule. First off not a hard rule and as the war progresses, it will apply less and less. But I think early on in any war this rule is important. It structures attacking. There are a bunch of reasons I want to get more diligent on this.
First off, what is the guideline. Early on in the war (give or take, the first 12 hour) attack with in 10 up or down from your war rank. Example, you are #15. You can attack #5 to #25. If you can't find someone in those 20, maybe you should head down to worglings till your troops improve. Reasons below
1. It allows our lower members a chance to attack. They have a lower number of targets. Attacking them weakens the whole clan. If you are going to aim really low, wait. O 2. Attacking too high limits what our higher members can hit. If you get a 1 star by jumping 20 spots, you aren't helping. You will probably get lower stars than some one higher can get. Basically, don't get greedy.
Again, no one gets booted for this vet let's try to apply this rule ASAP.

I'm curious and interested in maybe dropping the limit to 5 spot up or down for first attack. And with the mishaps of certain ppl jumping or dropping too low. Maybe a 1st attack of the matching level, for anybody outside of the top ten. Upper members may have troops that will work better for one base to another. But curious on the thoughts of attack the base mirrored to you. Thoughts?

Kyle, oddly enough I was coming in here to post something similar. I like the tightening it down to +/-5 of your rank for the first 12 hours of the war. If you can't find someone with in 10 of your rank, then wait till the second 12 hours of the war.
I also have a proposal for the bottom 10. Since there is only so far down they can I want to do what we can to protect their ability to attack and contribute. I propose that the bottom 10 use their first attack on the other clan's equivalent number. Sometimes that may be tough for them but I think on average it will be good for them. The higher numbers can clean up stars if the lower members can't get the stars.
Anyone have any problems with that?
